Young Joc's Wife Files For Divorce



After 13 years of marriage, Young Joc and his wife Alexandria Robinson have decided to go their separate ways. Well, if you have been keeping up with recent episodes of 'Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta', Joc was parading around town with Karlie Redd, amongst other women ( remember real estate chic?) like he was never married. He mentions during the season that he was divorced but it's obviously not final. Truth be told, I had knowledge that Joc was married from years ago when a college friend that worked in the Atlanta music industry  mentioned his marriage and kids to me because it wasn't  widely known around town. After the shenanigans Joc has been pulling around Atlanta,  it's assumed wifey has had enough. Joc and Alexandria were high school sweethearts and share three children together.

Well, the cast of 'Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta' have been doing a great job of keeping themselves relevant these days. Its been so much going on social media  today, I cant keep up! So here it goes.

First, Stevie J. leaked nude pics of Benzino's fiancé, Althea, on twitter earlier with the caption "Lettuce anyone?? It's a picture of Althea performing fellatio and supposedly there are other pics as well. Althea confirms that it was Benzino in the pic as her and Stevie J. clap back at each other. And to make matters worse, the filming for the reunion began yesterday and word is that damn near the entire cast was fighting! According to reports from audience members via instagram, it all started with Stevie J. and Benzino exchanging words about alleged drug use, and Joseline ran up on Althea. Once security broke those two up, Joseline went after Tammy and Deb and Bambi jumped in. Joseline then ran up on Mimi in front of Stevie and whopped ass, apparently after getting dealt with twice before.... all in all, 911 had to be called and a few cast member had to seek medical attention.WELP, get ready for ratchet TV at its finest, coming to a TV screen near you!!!





Days After Twitter Rant, Meek Mill Sentenced to Jail Time



It looks at though rapper Meek Mill aka Robert Williams will have time to reflect on his twitter rants against fellow label mate Wale and other transgressions due to being locked up.

Days ago, the rapper appeared with his attorney Gary Silver before Common Pleas Judge Genece E. Brinkley, appealing for the rapper to stay free. With a hearing that lasted four hours, the judge was not having it, citing that the rapper had made  difficult to remain in touch with him. Apparently, he had changed his number without giving his probation officer a proper contact, and was allegedly taunting the case prosecutor on twitter, calling him a racist. (Because he likes to rant on twitter?)  He also was scheduling shows and appearances without clearing it with the court first, which was viewed as a direct violation, so bam, he was landed with a jail sentence for three to six months.

Before being taken into custody the judge stated:

Of all the people that have come before me, I knew you had the talent to be as successful as Jay Z but not only have you let me down, you have let your fans down.”

The head of MMG, Rick Ross, released an official statement to MTV:

'R & B Divas' Star LaTavia Roberson Proves She Can Sing......Kinda



I haven't been keeping up with this season of 'R & B Divas: Atlanta', but I kept hearing this buzz that LaTavia would not sing when asked, or that she flat out refused. Now, one would think she would have a problem since she is a former member of 'Destiny's Child and for the simple fact that she is on a show about divas. R&B Divas, that is. Because they sing....right? Well, whatever the case, she seemed to keep mum the entire season. Now, I understand that after the infamous breakup, there was major shade thrown that ALL the members of Destiny's couldn't sing. We now know LaToya can sing, so no one knows who the shade was actually directed to. Throw in the fact LaTavia stayed out of the spotlight for years and she went on record saying she dealt with substance abuse. So to be thrust back into the very spotlight that chewed you up and spit you out, I can understand her reluctance to sing at first. But obviously, she made a choice to put herself in the spotlight again, why NOT sing?

Well, good ol Wendy Williams, the host of the reunion show, put her on blast. So she sang, kinda. I'm hoping she wasn't serious, because even though it was on the spot, they were struggle notes indeed. The kicker was Wendy's face......I just cant take her sometimes, lol.....Watch the video below:

 

 

 

LaTavia also told Sister 2 Sister that she doesn't need to prove her vocal ability to anyone, because she has Grammys to prove she can indeed sing. Although it was a group that Beyoncé mostly carried vocally, she does have a point.....



RHOA Star NeNe Leakes Reportedly Not Returning Next Season; Sherri Shepherd Leaves 'The View'



It must be the season of moving on these days.

Its being reported in the blogsphere that Nene Leakes was fired from the show, although it was reported that all the ladies had been invited back for next season.

Ms. Leakes took to twitter to clear up any misunderstanding:

I'am NOT comin back 2 RHOA because I was fired, NO I quit, NO I wanted more money, NO they cut my salary and YES all this is BULLSHIT - Nene Leakes (@Nene Leakes) July 2, 2014

Looks like Nene isn't going out without a fight. Rumors were flying that she supposed take a pay cut and be featured on the show part-time, but as the only original cast member and the highest paid on the show, it should be known that would be very unlikely. (Maybe reports are confused with Sheree Whitfield, who is rumored to be making a comeback next season?)

Well, they say its good to know when to move on......

Another starlet that is moving on is Sherri Shepherd, who leaving the 'TheView'. This after all the drama going on with here filing from divorvce from her husband and reportedly not wanting anything to do with their expected surrogate child, fearing child support from her estranged husband. Rumor has is that she may have wanted more money. Alas, Sherri confirmed:

" A lot of those people close to me and some of the producers here, they've known since the spring that I did not intend to return to the show once my contract ended in August."

She also added:

"You guys know that I often talk about my faith. I'm a woman of faith and seven in the Bible is the number of God's completion," she said. " I've been here seven years, and my time at 'The View' is complete."

RHOA Star Apollo Nida Sentenced to 8 years in Prison



Apollo Nida, of The Real Housewives of Atlanta was sentenced on July 8 for bank fraud and ID theft. Nida was potentially facing up to 30 years in prison but faces less time due to his cooperation on the criminal activities of others. According the AJC, Nida was none too pleased about the sentence and replied with "The government did what they had to do.", in annoyance as he exited the courtroom. He is free for now but is expected to turn himself within the next three to six weeks.

Considering the time that Nida's female accomplice, Gayla St. Julien, received, which was 5 years, its shocking he didn't get more time. Nida's wife, Phaedra Parks was reportedly not in attendance. Parks said she would stand by her man stating "...we are where we are and we'll support him. We are a family. He's the father of my two beautiful kids and at the end of the day, I am a Southern belle and I believe in family and I will support him until this is resolved."

Only time will tell....

To further add insult to injury, Radar reports that just weeks ago one of Nida's properties was auctioned off. He lost the home due to failure to pay taxes on the property, which he brought for $9,000 in 2010. The 4-687 square-feet home was auctioned off for $2,800!!!!!!!!(Sidenote: He could spend $8,000 in the strip clubs but not pay taxes on a home under $10,000? Chile, that fronting to be glamourous in the A will have you looking stupid....)

This should play out as an interesting storyline for Phadrea on the next season of RHOA.

We Miss The Old School: New Edition and Tevin Campbell performances

When BET brought back old school groups Troop, Silk and Color Me Badd, during the recent airing of the 2014 BET Awards, it sent a an uprising of all the 80s and 90s group we all came to know and love. On Facebook, I came across a video of a New Edition performance. I'm not sure where they were performing, but poor Bobby Brown just couldn't keep up with the all the moves; he ended up having to take a break! It was great to see him trying and all of them together again.





In New Orleans, Tevin Campbell took to the stage at Super Lounge at the Essence Fest over the weekend. He performed his hit "Can We Talk?" and couldn't quite perform due to the audience singing....lol.
